NEW: Preparing Your Dog For a Baby!

This is a new way to get the word out there for a successful training program. Parents love it and we decided to bring the sessions to parent facilities around NYC.

Parents and Doulas are welcome to join our free workshop on preparing dogs for a newborn baby. Topics involve how to prepare the dog for the baby, the absolute necessary basic obedience your dog should know, how to introduce them and create a lifelong safe bond, and how to troubleshoot issues while holding a baby!

Dapper Dog Training at the TriBeCa Film Festival 2011

Picture
In case you missed it, Dapper Dog Training was at the TriBeCa Film Festival doing a training demonstration. Volunteers had the chance to participate on-stage, whether they were children or adults. Special thanks to Bella's owner, who graciously allowed us to use her as a pupil!

We also had the opportunity to show off one of our shelter dogs, Takaani, who is still up for adoption.

Update: Takaani was adopted two months after this Festival!

Jessica now holds hours at Water4Dogs!

Picture
Jessica helped to take care of disabled dogs at Water4Dogs, and trained the German Shepherd rescues at the rescue there called Rescue4Dogs.

She now teaches dogs how to swim at the Water4Dogs pool upon request.

Lectures!

The Dapper Dog Training lecture on Dominance and Dog Training at the New York Public Library was a great success! Knowledge-seeking dog owners showed up ready to absorb and learn.

The Childrens Dog Safety program for ages 3+ occurs based on interest, as well as the Doulas, Dogs and Babies program.
